The College recognises and promotes Indigenous Culture, Heritage and survival. Recognition and promotion of activities are part of the annual community celebrations for NAIDOC and are available to the wider communities to build bridges between indigenous and non-indigenous Australians.

Indigenous students are further supported through the provision of an Indigenous Education Support Officer who ensures that support is provided to indigenous students through liaising directly with families on student progress, providing support in the workplace and assisting indigenous students to access external pathways and support.

The Learning Support Coordinator can discuss with you and your child how we can best tailor a pattern of study that will meet the individual needs of your son/daughter. Your son/daughter will have a Personalised Plan (PP), also known as an Individual Education Plan (IEP), which will track and document their needs and adjustments in order to help them access the curriculum to the best of their ability. More FAQ’s about Learning Support can be found in this link. https://newmancollege.live/learning-support-faqs/

We are open to any suggestions to customise this exercise to aid in the transition to a new and slightly different school.
